Toyota BMG Acoustic Panel Installation by Absolute Energy

Noise problems can be frustrating for businesses. Busy service centres, offices, and commercial buildings often face issues with loud environments that make it hard for staff and customers to communicate. We recently worked with Toyota BMG on Vanguard Street in Nelson to help fix this problem in their service centre.
The Challenge at Toyota BMG
The team at Toyota BMG were struggling to hear their customers clearly during heavy rain. Noise from seagulls and other bird activity added to the problem. This was affecting their ability to work and creating a poor experience for their customers. They needed a practical solution that would reduce the noise and make their workplace more comfortable.
How Acoustic Panels Solved the Problem
We installed Mammoth 70mm acoustic panels to the ceiling of the service centre. These panels are designed to absorb sound and reduce echo in large spaces. After the installation, Toyota BMG told us the difference was immediate. Rain noise dropped significantly, and the bird noise they once noticed throughout the day has vanished. The team are “super happy,” with the results. Which is exactly what we aim for with every project.
Why Acoustic Panel Installation Works for Commercial Spaces
Acoustic panels are a great way to control noise in commercial buildings. They work by absorbing sound waves rather than letting them bounce around the room. This reduces echo, and creates a more comfortable space for both staff and customers.
By reducing unwanted noise, acoustic panels can create a better experience for anyone who uses the space.
Other Noise Reduction Options
Along with acoustic panels, there are other solutions we can offer for controlling sound in commercial spaces.
Blown Insulation
Adding blown insulation to your internal walls and mid floors is another way to reduce noise. Installed using specialist equipment, blown insulation completely fills the cavity, absorbing mid to high-frequency sounds such as conversation, background chatter, and general office noise. As well as improving acoustics, it also improves thermal performance, helping to keep the building warmer in winter and cooler in summer.
Autex Acoustic Panels
Autex acoustic panels are another great option for managing noise. These panels not only absorb sound and reduce echo, they are available in a wide range of colours, shapes, and finishes, making them ideal for spaces where design is important. They are commonly used in offices, schools, retail spaces, and hospitality venues where both appearance and acoustic comfort matter. Autex panels can be customised to suit the style of your space, allowing you to combine function with a professional finish.
Both blown insulation and Autex panels have been independently tested and proven to make a noticeable difference in noise levels, particularly in the mid-to-high frequency range where most everyday sounds occur. Whether you are looking to make a single meeting room quieter or improve acoustics across a large open-plan area, these solutions can be tailored to fit your needs and budget.
