Absolute Energy managing director Paul Brockie has been working in the building industry for 40 years and has specialised in energy efficiency and insulation for 18 of those. He’s also the Registered Master Builders Nelson branch president and an Insulation Association of New Zealand executive committee member. Put simply, Paul and the team at Absolute Energy know houses inside out. That means you’re getting the expert advice and quality workmanship you deserve from one of the best minds in the business.
We’re the only insulation company in the Nelson Tasman region with a store where you can drop-in and have a chat face-to-face. For a lot of people, that’s important, which is why we go the extra mile to provide that personal service. Our managing director, Paul Brockie, is also happy to get on the phone and help you personally. We like to think we’re pretty friendly, too, and we’ll do everything we can to make sure your experience with us is a breeze.
Our customers love our Post-Install Audit — it’s our quality guarantee. Once our installers have completed the job, we send out one of our qualified assessors to check and sign-off on the work. That means you can be sure that your insulation is installed to the highest standard.
Insulating your home, rental, or commercial property creates a warmer, drier, healthier environment. This can have life-changing benefits that go well beyond cheaper power bills. We’ve had customers tell us that insulating their home led to the family spending more time together because living areas were more comfortable. There are countless stories of health conditions, such as asthma and winter colds, subsiding after insulation is installed.
Absolute Energy has an excellent track record of satisfied customers. We’ve installed insulation in more than 15,000 homes and commercial buildings around New Zealand. The way we look at it, that’s more than 35,000 lives changed for the better. We’re very proud of that.

We’re committed to supporting the community as much as possible. We’re involved with several initiatives such as Warmer Healthier Homes Nelson Tasman Marlborough and No Child Left Inside. We also employ members of our migrant communities and help them with learning English and adapting to life in New Zealand. We also regularly sponsor sports teams and events in the community. It’s our way of giving back and saying thanks.
